[GIMP] Simple Blur Tutorial

Yay, first turorial ever! This for GIMP.

Well, since I'm new, and this was one of the few different styles I use, I thought I might share this with some people.

Note: This is a pretty easy tutorial. This is meant for people just starting out on GIMP.


1. Okay, the first thing to do would to choose your stock. Second, make your canvas about 473x123, or whatever the site you want. Then, place mutiple copies of the stock through the canvas, like this:



2. Then, select the whole canvas, and go to filters, and click on blur. Then, go to Motion blend, and set it to 46x0. Then click okay, and you should get something like this:



3. Then, here comes the good part. Take some brushes. I used the splatter brushes to work with this. Click once or twice around the canvas, and then go to your filters, and click on Artistic, then click on GIMPinpressionist, and go to Dotify.

It should look like this:



4. Then, simply replace the stock over one area of the canvas, add text/border and vwala! You have a simple made signature.

Just to let you guys know, I tried a few outcomes, and some of them look absolutley horrible with a black border. I'm suggesting white.
